About the Department
Invescos Corporate Finance team sits within the Corporate Strategy and Finance Group and serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership by delivering critical financial insights that drive informed decision-making. The team plays a pivotal role in capital allocation long-range planning and financial modeling ensuring that the companys resources are aligned with its long-term objectives. By collaborating closely with business units across the organization the Corporate Finance team helps evaluate investment opportunities assess financial risks and support mergers and acquisitions all while maintaining a strong focus on shareholder value and fiscal discipline.
About the Role
As a Program Controller you will work with leaders in Finance Procurement and the Enterprise Transformation Office within Invesco to develop and administer project budgets and forecasts for Invescos largest initiatives in alignment with strategic objectives and financial policies. You will use your accounting and finance experience to implement best practice processes protocols and standards across our most critical transformations and take on key roles budget and resource management. This is an ideal role for an experienced Program Controller looking for a role that provides exposure to a broad variety of strategic programs and who can support a growing team to deploy financials management and controlling best practices across regions and functions driving financial efficiencies cost savings and cross program budget synergies.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Develop and manage project budgets tracking actuals against program milestones and indicate risks to senior management
Investigate budget discrepancies identifying mitigations to resolve
Create forecasts modeling for expected capacity changes and varying project scope scenarios
Track expenses and administer approvals in compliance with financial policies and regulations
Work with Enterprise Transformation Office Leaders and Procurement to review SOWs and other vendor management documents for compliance with Invesco financial policies
Manage vendor invoices
Develop maintain and monitor Purchase orders and related vendor invoices
Work with Program leaders to develop resourcing models to inform budgetary needs and change controls advising on options within existing budget to meet changing program needs
Maintain master resourcing rosters including adjustments due to resourcing changes (add/extensions/terminations)
Requirements of the Role:
5-7 years professional experience with a minimum of 4 years in project controlling
3-5 years experience in accounting audit or other financial management experience preferred
Financial Services Industry experience preferably Asset Management / Servicing
Ability to build financial models for program budget and resource management
High attention to detail
Ability to build executive level presentations independently with strong oral and written communication skills including advanced presentation and MS PowerPoint skills
Team player with strong organizational skills and detail orientation
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assigned tasks with minimal guidance
Ability to problem solve and present option assessment to drive decision making
