Job Description
- Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include but not be limited to the following:
- Collaborate with the District Math Coach to
- Evaluate individual students needing additional math support
- Diagnose specific skills deficits and teach to improve these deficits
- Provide support to classroom teachers as indicated
- Work with small groups of struggling math students both in class and pull-out settings to remediate targeted skills areas
- Communicate effectively with parents and teachers in order to ensure student success
- Create an effective environment for learning through functional and engaging displays bulletin boards and interest centers
- Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities as assigned during the working day.
- Administer group standardized tests in accordance with district testing program
- Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of pupil activities
- Other duties as assigned
- The Educator should possess the following skills and attributes:
- commitment to the academic and personal success of Berlin Memorial School students and families
- current Elementary Education licensure in Massachusetts
- Bachelors Degree Required/ Masters Degree preferred
- A good sense of humor
- The ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of adults
