Job Description
The Inkblot Videographer is responsible for capturing editing and producing engaging video content that promotes ASUN the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) and affiliated programs. This role plays a key part in enhancing student engagement through event coverage creative storytelling and social media-friendly content tailored for YouTube TikTok Instagram and other Social Media outlets.
As part of the Marketing group for ASUN and the CSE youll document campus events highlight student experiences and support key campaigns with engaging visual assets. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated creative with a strong eye for storytelling solid photo/video skills and a passion for social media.

Responsibilities
Meet given deadlines
Attend Weekly Inkblot Staff Meetings
Maintain close contact with Content Manager and Director
Be able to attend events that are seeking Inkblot Video services
Edit event videos in YouTube and TikTok/Reel format
Have deliverables ready in 1-4 weeks after the event
Utilize archival footage to promote upcoming events
Propose and create ASUN/ CSE-related promotional Videos in which to update necessary information and engage as well as inform the student body
Minimum: one per month
Before production storyboard/conceptualizethe video and present it to the Director & Content Manager
Keep a running list of potential video ideas to explore (bring these up at weekly meetings)
Meet with clients to discuss potential videos
Capture stock video of student life and campus
Utilize downtime to brainstorm ways video could be better used to help promote ASUN
Keep all internal links and files organized and up to date
Backup edited and Raw files into office servers on a monthly basis
Meet with clients to discuss potential videos (keep the Creative Producer informed)
Upload and maintain video content on YouTube
Set up goals for the YouTube page
Keep track check out and manage Inkblot photo/video equipment
Work with Graphic Designers to use logos from their design whenever possible for videos for marketing consistency
Work with Photographer and Social Media Manager to cross-promote on ASUN and CSE Social Media Platforms
Update the client and the rest of Inkblot on active project progress
Have one on ones and complete evaluations as required
Submit working hours regularly and appropriately for payroll
Required Qualifications
Candidate is an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada Reno
Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in using professional Video Editing software (Premiere Pro DaVinci Resolve After Effects etc.)
Candidate has a strong understanding of Adobe CC
Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in using a Mirrorless/ProfessionalCamera for videography
Candidate has familiarity and interest in social media platforms and content formats
Candidate is able to develop an understanding of Apple computers
Candidate is able to understand and abide by Inkblot ASUN and University Standards
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in Photography
Candidate has an Interest in PR Marketing or similar fields
Candidate is majoring in Marketing Communications Journalism English or related fields
Consequences of Error/Responsibility for Decisions
Videographers have the ability to relay the most information in the shortest amount of time. Video is a very powerful medium of communication. A mistake in a video could disrupt in the communication of information. Videographers need to have standards and sound discretion to review content to make sure videos are presentable and not unfavorable to the audience.
