TITLE
Recruitment and Retention Ambassador Music
JOB SUMMARY
Strategically plans and executes recruitment and retention initiatives for undergraduate and graduate programs in the Division of Music at Texas Womans University. This position promotes the Divisions academic programs events and community engagement opportunities to prospective students school districts and external organizations. It also supports current students through community-building efforts aimed at increasing retention and fostering a vibrant and inclusive music culture. The specialist works collaboratively with Division leadership faculty staff and other campus units to support enrollment and student success goals. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is evaluated based on successful completion of assignments and outcomes achieved in accordance with University Policies & Procedures.

Reports to: Director School of the Arts & Design
Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION
Bachelors degree required. Music degree strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in a college/university setting preferably within music or performing arts programs. Familiarity with music disciplines and audition and admissions processes for music students. Experience using the Acceptd application platform or similar audition management systems. Background in marketing and event planning including knowledge of social media and creative content development. Experience engaging with student leadership community outreach and student success initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
REQUIREMENT
Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SAFETY
TWU promotes a safe working environment. Employees are responsible for completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently and supervisors are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees must report any unsafe work conditions or practices as well as any near-miss incidents to their supervisor and Risk Management. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
