About this Job
Were looking for a Plumber/Pipefitter Master to join our New Iberia Research Center (NIRC) Team.
This position plays a vital role in performing highly skilled technical installations repairs and modifications to plumbing systemsboth above and below groundensuring reliable water steam and gas services across our facilities.Minimum Qualifications
Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:
Four years of experience or training in pipefitting steam fitting or plumbing.Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role you will:
Perform repairs troubleshooting and modifications to above and below ground plumbingincluding tunnel systems
Service high- and low-pressure steam gas and water systems
Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on domestic and commercial hot water heaters and boilers ensuring compliance with code and insurance standards
Interpret complex plans and specifications for installations and repairs
Install and repair steam regulators traps relief valves and various components of plumbing systems
Fabricate and assemble pressure and sewage piping using techniques like soldering threading bonding and welding
Repair fire mains install kicker blocks and valves and maintain steam sterilizers and medical gas lines as needed
Serve as a lead worker providing guidance and oversight to subordinate Plumber/Pipefitters and ApprenticesPosition-Specific Details:
