Job Title: Regulatory Manager Americas
Location: Onsite Corporate office located in Conroe TX

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Manager to lead and manage chemical and product regulatory compliance efforts across the Americas. This role ensures full alignment with governmental regulations industry standards and customer requirements while supporting product development and business operations.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of environmental and chemical regulations and thrives in a collaborative cross-functional environment.

What you need to successful in the role

Regulatory Compliance & Substance Management

  • Maintain chemical and substance regulatory compliance across the Americas (U.S. Canada Mexico South America).
  • Manage product registration and substance notifications including US TSCA PMNs LVEs and CEPA NSNs.
  • Interpret and monitor evolving regulatory frameworks such as TSCA and Canadas NSNR (New Substance Notification Regulations).
  • Track VOC compliance and ensure accurate recordkeeping for exceedances and emissions reporting.

Product Compliance & Documentation

  • Support new product development by ensuring compliance with applicable chemical and product safety laws.
  • Review and sign off on HSE evaluation forms for new or imported products.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date product documentation (SDS AQDS VOC Data Sheets etc.).
  • Maintain internal health hazard data files for raw materials and finished products.

Cross-functional Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with R&D Production and Commercial teams to ensure product conformity with federal state and local regulations including VOC/HAP content FDA Title 21 and hazard communications.
  • Coordinate regulatory submissions and reporting including:
    • Pesticide Establishment Reports
    • Rule 314 AQER (Architectural Coatings)
    • State-level AIM reporting
    • Rule 1143 reporting (Consumer Paint Thinners & Multi-Purpose Solvents)

Regulatory Intelligence & Industry Representation

  • Proactively assess regulatory trends and their impact on business operations.
  • Represent the company in regulatory committees and industry associations across the region.
  • Collaborate with the global regulatory team on compliance documentation and labeling strategies.

Raw Material Management & System Maintenance

  • Evaluate hazards of new raw materials and ensure SDS availability per OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain raw material code systems and input data into regulatory databases.
  • Review and update occupational exposure limits and safety data as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Science Technology or Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in the coatings chemicals or regulatory compliance industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and regulatory systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Familiarity with Mexico labeling/marking requirements and regulations from CARB SCAQMD EPA TSCA and DSL.
