Operates a computerized scale system types inspects loads and determines correct rate to charge visually confirms the information on the monitor measures and computes volume collect fees and make change keeps accurate records balances paperwork and completes closing paperwork for deposits as assigned.
Successfully interacts with a variety of personality types.
Answers the telephone uses calculator Visa/MC authorization terminal and various computer components.
Maintains cleanliness of scale deck and approach scale booth and surrounding area.
Ability to climb up on vehicles to inspect loads.
May participate in basic incident command training and drills to maintain proficiency in supporting EOC activities including carrying out field work in connection with EOC operations. May be assigned clerical/support incident liaison or other duties at any location within or near the county. Emergency Management duties may require working long hours outside normal business hours weekend/holiday work and may occur with little or no advance notice.

PUBLIC SERVICE LOAN FORGIVENESS
Marion County is a qualifying public employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program full-time employees working at the County may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Student Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Questions about your student loan eligibility should be directed to your loan servicer or the US Department of Education.
VISA SPONSORSHIP
Marion County does not offer VISA sponsorship. Within three days of hireyou will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Securitys I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States.
