The Journeyman Millwright is instrumental in ensuring our machinery is in top condition enhancing our operational efficiency and maintaining our reputation for quality. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a proven track record of maintaining industrial machines such as boilers chillers compressors regenerative thermal oxidizers and various water purification systems. This position works with little supervision must be capable of working independently and adhere to all safety regulations.
This position reports to the Facilities Manager and is part of the Maintenance Department located in Pensacola Florida and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Fabricates repair parts and structures by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Performs welding repairs when needed. Use various hand or power tools for measuring cutting welding threading grooving bending soldering assembling joining and installing pipes valves and fittings.
- Maintains dismantles repairs and replaces mechanical and hydraulic components (e. g. bearings seals details carriers etc.) on industrial machinery such as shafting motors generators air compressors engines pumps cylinders gears couplings linkages ball screws coolant systems and filters and combustion equipment and valves.
- Ensures compliance with all health safety and environmental regulations and with company policies and procedures. Plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies using blueprints sketches or models following OSHA and PSM safety regulations.
Who you are:
- 5 years relevant millwright/apprenticeship/boilermaker work experience
- Must be able to weld and fabricate.
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for the role
- Ability to lift move or carry equipment up to 40lbs
- Ability to stand squat and reach for an extended period
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- The Automotive Industry
- Completed an accredited Millwright certificate or training/apprenticeship program
- Ability to operate a high lift to perform work in high places
- Ability to use a digital/analog multi-meter to accurately document work performed in CMMS or other maintenance management systems
The hourly range for this role is $28.00 - $32.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
