A creative and collaborative special education teacher with a strong working knowledge of special education regulations and required documentation to work with students with emotional disabilities. Applicants must have current State of Mass certification in special education. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and be willing to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and Responsibility:2-3 years teaching experience Special Education Licensure IEP writing evaluation and report writing experience responsible for effective management of classroom environment as well as the implementation of a classroom-wide positive behavior and intervention support system. and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must work collaboratively with the district BCBA to implement student Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and alert the ETL and Team members when student presentation (s) change necessitating a change in the BIP. Other responsibilities deemed appropriate and assigned by the PPS Director. Additional experience required; SAFETY CARE/CALM certification or training understanding of behavioral intervention programming and development ability to manage classroom support staff working knowledge of positive behavioral systems of support experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder students flexible thinking and strong ability to advocate for students in the school and community.
