What this job involves:
As a Facility Manager at JLL youll oversee two manufacturing/warehouse locations with a balanced role of 50% hands-on maintenance work and 50% leadership responsibilities. You will establish and maintain a comprehensive facility management program that ensures optimal building operations while developing your team and delivering exceptional service to our clients. This dynamic position combines technical expertise with management skills to maintain building systems implement efficiency initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance all while creating a safe and productive environment for building occupants.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Lead and develop on-site personnel managing team performance and fostering professional growth
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks using provided tools and equipment
- Implement safety protocols and initiatives to improve awareness and change behaviors
- Develop track and document energy conservation and operational efficiency initiatives
- Conduct relationship meetings with clients and manage feedback to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment
- Manage administrative responsibilities using facility management systems and software
- Complete required compliance training and ensure adherence to safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facility management or building operations
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures
- Experience managing teams and evaluating performance
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with work order management systems and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements for manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Understanding of business and accounting practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in electrical systems and/or HVAC operations and maintenance
- Experience managing facilities in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Certification in facility management (CFM FMP or related)
- Experience implementing energy conservation initiatives with documented savings
- Background in life cycle asset management
- Data analysis skills for tracking and reporting operational metrics
- Project management experience
