Job Description
The one (1) year Interim Director of Academic & Support Services position is responsible for the administration of Academic and Support Services at Anoka-Ramsey Community College for the Cambridge and Coon Rapids campuses. These programs are designed to facilitate the success of students with the focus being on oversight of the Office for Students with Disabilities Tutoring and Testing Services programs. The Director provides direct leadership and supervision for the staff and students of these programs.
This position will have responsibilities at both campuses of Anoka-Ramsey Community College and the home campus will be the Rapids campus. This position will be required to travel to Cambridge Campus at least once (1) a week.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience as a supervisor or leader of Student Affairs in areas such as Academic Support Services Access Services or Testing Services.
Demonstrated experience in managing difficult situations involving students parents staff faculty and community members
Experience utilizing excel access or other types of programs to manage budgets and program assessment.
Organizational skills to effectively prioritize work tasks to meet the needs of students and departments
Communication skills to effectively interpret and explain complicated federal state and local policies to a variety of constituents.
Commitment to working with and fostering an inclusive environment for a diverse population of individuals.
Preferred Qualification
3 or more years experience in postsecondary disability services
Knowledge of best practices in student support services in disability tutoring and/or testing services
Knowledge of federal and state regulations as they apply to students (ADA and Section 504 Rehabilitation Act)
Knowledge of assessment for course placement policies procedures and processes
Demonstrated experience in creating and effectively evaluating programs
Knowledge of Minnesota States Integrated Student Record System (ISRS)
