Job Description

Job Title: Internal Audit Consultant Compliance & Financial Crimes

Duration: 4-Month Contract (September through December 31 2025)
Location: On-site in New York Dallas or Salt Lake City (4 5 days per week required)
Employment Type: W2 Contract (Hourly pay only; benefits available at employee cost)
Eligibility: US Citizens or Permanent Residents Only

Position Overview:

We are seeking Internal Audit professionals to support high-impact compliance and financial crimes audit initiatives. These roles are available at both the Senior Associate and Manager levels with responsibilities aligned to third-line audit activities. Successful candidates will bring expertise in compliance risk internal controls and regulatory frameworks and must be comfortable working on-site 4 5 days per week in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute audits focused on compliance legal and financial crimes risk areas.

  • Perform audit planning fieldwork control design assessments and control effectiveness testing.

  • Develop high-quality audit workpapers that clearly support findings and conclusions.

  • Assess regulatory compliance controls AML-related processes and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to review policies procedures and compliance frameworks.

  • Identify control gaps and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.

  • Provide issue validation support to ensure timely resolution and closure of audit findings.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience performing internal audits in the third line of defense (Internal Audit function).

  • Knowledge of compliance and financial crime regulations including AML sanctions and KYC.

  • Proven ability to assess risk and design/evaluate controls within highly regulated environments.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to present findings to leadership.

  • Prior experience working in or auditing within financial institutions is highly preferred.

  • Availability to work on-site 4 5 days per week in New York Dallas or Salt Lake City.
