This position requires a passion for effective teaching and advising of diverse students excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. This position will assist with the curriculum updates; the successful candidate will teach occupational skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in the field and to secure a job in their new career; demonstrate occupational materials tools equipment and processes using standard or instructor-prepared instructional aides; instruct students in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of tools and equipment; control the storage maintenance and use of materials and property to prevent loss or abuse; and establish and maintain standards of student conduct to provide an orderly safe and productive environment in an activity-type classroom.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an HVAC Certification;
or Certification in EPA 608 Levels 1 and 2 plus 3 years of experience in HVAC field.
Proficiency with installation and repair on various types of commercial and residential air conditioning heating and refrigeration units; working knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC building code requirements OSHA and EPA regulations and job site safety are required. Must have reliable transportation.
Prior teaching experience is preferred not required.
