What You Will Be Doing
As a Laser Welder your responsibilities will include:
Performing laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals utilizing automated machines leak checking operating vacuum ovens and thermal chambers and working with mechanical presses inert gas mixture gloveboxes and solder vacuum furnaces
Troubleshooting of assemblies that do not pass leak checks and other various microelectronic assembly work will be part of the role

Lockheed Martins Chelmsford Operations facility is a hub for microelectronics supporting critical aerospace and defense programs. Located in Chelmsford Massachusetts our team is dedicated to producing advanced technology products that safeguard national security and advance the industry.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
1 years of experience operating laser welding equipment for hermetic sealing
Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods
Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings
Computer skills for retrieval of drawings work instructions and other job activities
Ability to utilize hand tools such as torque drivers tweezers and other similar instruments
Good dexterity and eye/hand coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly without compromising quality
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship. Will require at least an Interim Secret security clearance prior to starting
Desired Skills:
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal teaming and communication skills
Experience with J-STD-001
Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment
Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices
Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
