If you have experience working with groups of preschool children ages 3-5 and have a passion for teaching Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has an amazing role for you as a RecreationPreschool Lead Teacher. This is a year-round part-time position.
ARC in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation serves Seattle by offering access to licensed programming and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs classes and this role the RecreationPreschool Lead Teacherwill be responsible forengaging participants and leading activities for preschool participants between the ages of 3 and 5. The RecreationPreschool Lead Teacheris responsible for maintaining a safe fun inclusive environment welcoming to all.

Recreation Preschool Lead TeacherResponsibilities:
- Leading daily curriculum activities with a classroom of children ages 3-5 years old
- Mentors and trains Assistant Teachers
- Models appropriate behavior and provides opportunities for social and emotional growth
- Ensures a ratio of 1:8 (staff to children) is maintained as much as possible to ensure that children are safe and accounted for
- Reports to the Associated Recreation Preschool Director
Recreation Preschool Lead Teacher Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Initial ECE Certificate or equivalent is preferred
- Must have High School Diploma or GED or college transcripts or other secondary education
- At least one year of experience working with groups of children between the ages of 3-5 years old in a preschool setting (required)
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday up to 25hours per week between the hours of 9:00am - 1:30pm
- Hiring by Date: As soon as possible
Pay:
- Starting Pay:$23.00/hr non-exempt; part-time position
- Full Pay Range: $23.00-26.45/hr (the employee may earn up to $26.45/hr with additional years in the role)
