School Nurse Full-TimeOverviewFour Rivers Charter Public School located in Greenfield MA is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of School Nurse. The School Nurse will work to create a strong health office serving our 220 students in grades 712.

The School Nurse plays a key role in supporting student wellnessprimarily physical health but also overall well-being as a valued member of the student services team.

Responsibilities- Provide assessment and care for all student health needs including emergencies injuries illnesses medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with students families and staff to develop Individual Health Plans Medication Plans and Emergency Care Plans; contribute to 504 and IEP plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using the SNAP Program (EHR).
- Coordinate and implement all state-mandated programs including immunization compliance and screenings.
- Manage medical needs for field trips and fieldwork including organizing coverage and on-call responsibilities.
- Assist with staff health needs including injury reports and basic treatment/referrals.
- Train staff on school health-related topics.
- Complete required local and state health records and reports.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive school health program aligned with MA regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with staff and external providers on health and safety initiatives and support for students.
- Monitor and respond to infectious illness outbreaks in collaboration with administration.
- Support sanitary practices in school buildings and provide guidance to substitute nurses.
- Serve as liaison to local and state public health partners as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements- Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of two years successful nursing experience
- Preferred: Experience working with middle or high school students
- Preferred: DESE School Nurse License or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year of hire
Contract: 1.0 FTE on a 190-day contract
