An Educator and Infection Preventionist who excels in this role will: Assume responsibility and accountability for assessment planning implementation and evaluation of education programs including the clinical orientation of new employees. Using your experience as a Registered Nurse you will develop the annual hospital wide Infection Control Plan and evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
Evaluate educational needs of staff through various methods including QI programs safety occurrence monitoring changes in patient population served and annual needs assessment.
Ensure competency of all preceptors and participate in matching preceptors with new employees.
Serve as clinical education resource on current practices and procedures within the hospital.
Responsible for coordination of CPR training and ensure staff is compliant with current certifications
Drive and assume ownership of Infection Control Plan and activities in the hospital.
Identify monitor and assist to control outbreaks of nosocomial infection among patients and staff.
Function as the content expert on Infection Prevention and Control for the hospital including determining a course of action planning implementing and ensuring compliance to the plan.
Identify potential sources of nosocomial infection and implement actions to eliminate the source; and evaluate infection data to distinguish between nosocomial and community-acquired infection.

Must be licensed as a RN
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
