About the Opportunity:
Join a leading hospital in Houston as a Night Shift ECMO Specialist this critical role you ll provide life-saving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support to some of the region s most complex patients. You ll work alongside a talented multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility with opportunities for professional growth and hands-on learning every shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage ECMO circuits for neonatal pediatric and/or adult patients during night shifts
- Collaborate with physicians perfusionists respiratory therapists and nursing teams to deliver top-tier patient care
- Monitor assess and troubleshoot ECMO systems ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Document all procedures interventions and patient progress accurately
- Provide education and support to patients families and staff regarding ECMO therapy
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of ECMO Specialist or ECMO Primer experience (pediatric experience preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
