SOAR and EMBARK Programs - Programs for secondary and post-secondary students through age 22 with moderate intellectual mental health learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Position Summary: Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistant to support students with academic classes travel training life skills/cooking activities and internship/job training. Assist with maintaining focus to task movement breaks (playing basketball/football) and expected social skills. Responsibilities include travel training academic aid and job coaching in the community. Assist professional staff with all aspects of program management including classroom student support and provision of therapy services. Specific Duties: Work with a classroom teacher in an academic support role. Collaborate with professional staff to ensure the safety of the students in all environments. Participate in training in relevant areas. Possession of a 7-D License NAPPI/Safety-Care certification preferred. Knowledge of post-secondary program application process strongly preferred.
