Job Description

Summary:

The position of Fuel Service Technician performs equal portions of electronic plumbing and mechanical work and is able to work through difficult problems. This person installs maintains & repairs fuel dispensers submersible fuel pumps tank level and leak detection equipment card readers and various other types of equipment found in service stations (vehicular emergency generator boilers etc.).

Essential Functions:

* Providing on-site maintenance to various fueling facilities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties (Occasional travel to remote sites to assist Project Personnel).
* Assisting in diagnosis analysis and resolution of fuel/petroleum product failures.
* Perform fuel facility inspections
* Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with an excellent work ethic neat appearance and good communication skills.
* Keep customers informed of job progress parts availability cost estimates and job completion.
* Reviews analyzes and updates Labor Hours/Job Costs Report information with project management on regular basis
* Ensure accurate and complete cost coding of all time cards and Work Orders on a daily basis
* Assist with environmental sampling and monitoring including groundwater surface water and soil.
* Set up calibrate and maintain field and sampling equipment.
* Complete field logs and daily reports documenting activities and site conditions.
* Use field instruments (e.g. OVA Meter GPS Trimble) to collect and record data.
* Pack samples and coordinate delivery to the lab.
* Operate and maintain remediation/dewatering systems ensuring proper sample collection.
* Some projects may require this role to work on a 24/7 on-call basis (occasional)


Requirements:

* Must have a valid Drivers license.
* Minimum of 3 years performing maintenance and repairs on fuel dispensers and pumps
* Strong background or equivalent training in heavy mechanics hydraulics and electrical systems.
* Must read write speak and understand English
* Basic computer skills
* Preferred certifications include:
oNCCER accreditation
oOSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER
oOSHA 30 HOUR CONSTRUCTION
oVeeder Root Certification
oPneumercator Certification
oFuelmaster Certification
oRed Jacket Certification
