Job Description

My client a leading virtual bank is seeking an experienced Backend Developer/Engineer to join their HK based team. Youll be part of a new project focused on imporving the user onboarding process and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product managers frontend developers and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure the security and data protection of our systems.
  • Prioritize software quality by writing maintainable code through Test-Driven Development (TDD) Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficient in Kotlin or Java Spring boot
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
