Job Description
Hourly Pay Range:
$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.- $5000 Sign on Bonus - Competitive Call Pay
- Position: Surgical Technologist - Main Operating Room
- Location: Arlington Heights IL
- Full time/Part time: Full Time 40 hours/week
- Hours: 7am-3:30pm Rotating weekends
- Required Travel: No
What you will do:
- Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff. Inspects properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
- Performs scrub responsibilities according to physicians preference and hospital policies and procedures. Anticipates and is attentive to the surgeons needs for instruments ligatures sponges irrigation etc. during the surgical procedure.
- Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients pediatric through geriatric.
What you will need:
- Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience
- Certification in surgical technology preferred
