Job Title: Bilingual Spanish Receptionist

Department: Administration

About the Role:

The Spanish-speaking Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for YWCA Princeton welcoming all visitors families staff and community members with warmth and professionalism. This individual plays a key role in ensuring that the front desk functions efficiently while supporting a culturally inclusive and mission-aligned environment. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required to assist our diverse community effectively.

What Youll Do:

Heres how youll contribute in this role:

Reception Communication & Visitor Services - 40%

  • Greet all visitors in a courteous and respectful manner reflecting the mission and values of YWCA Princeton
  • Respond to phone calls emails and in-person inquiries in both English and Spanish
  • Provide accurate information about YWCA programs events services and schedules
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security protocols including sign-in/out procedures
  • Maintain a clean organized and welcoming reception area
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Manage and distribute deliveries and provide general clerical support

Bilingual Program & Participant Support - 30%

  • Assist Spanish-speaking participants and families with forms program enrollment and referrals to appropriate staff or resources
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for internal and external events
  • Assist with the coordination of community visits and use/rentals of the YWCA facility
  • Provide brief coverage in an early childhood classroom only as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the YWCA

Facility & Hospitality Support - 20%

  • Stock coffee supplies and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the staff lounge
  • Maintain and restock as necessary the Circle of Care food pantry in the front lobby

Organizational Learning and Development - 10%

  • Engage in organization-wide training attend weekly team meetings participate in all-staff meetings and institution-wide retreats
  • Develop both professional and personal commitments related to the YWCA Princeton mission

What You Bring:

Were looking for someone who brings a combination of the following:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or administrative training preferred.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (oral and written communication).
  • Prior experience in a customer service front desk or administrative role strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and office equipment.
  • Dependable detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to the mission of the YWCA: eliminating racism and empowering women.

Preferred (not required):

  • Experience working in a bilingual or multicultural environment
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or social services settings
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and administrative support functions
  • Experience using phone systems and scheduling software.

Work Environment & Accessibility:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Frequently moves about the building to assist staff and guests.
  • Occasionally lifts office supplies or small deliveries (up to 25 lbs).

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive compensation package

Compensation range: $35000.00 - $37000 commensurate with experience.

Paid time off 13.5 holidays per year and access to health and wellness benefits.
