Department/Unit Summary
TheRegistered Nurse at Valley Springs embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication essential for providing specialized care to patientsacross pediatric adult and geriatric units. This 150-bed unit operates within a1:61:8 nurse-to-patient ratios depending on unit. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a growing team in a facility that blends modern design trauma-informed care and a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
- CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
- De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- CRRN Preferred
- Minimum six months Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred (new grads welcome)
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-stress environments
