The essential duties and responsibilities for the Warehouse Technician position include all responsibilities designated for all warehouse positions plus the following:
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English. Attaches labels to containers; looks at containers to be sure labels have been correctly applied. Obtains items from stock as specified on shipping orders.
MATHEMATICAL and REASONING ABILITY SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Current forklift certification.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts while driving or working around forklifts or clamp lifts fumes or airborne particles generated by propane forklifts and outside weather conditions as the warehouse doors are generally open at all times of the year. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
