Job Description

Summary

King County Fleet Services is looking for a dedicated Mobile Lube Technicianto join our team! The Mobile Lube Technician will be responsible for providing safe and efficient service for a wide variety of vehicles heavy equipment and machinery. This position is also responsible for maintaining records and performing preventive maintenance inspections and procedures. This position will work from a Field Lube Service Truck or at our Renton Maintenance Facility.

ABOUT FLEET SERVICES DIVISION

The Fleet Services Division manages King Countys portfolio of vehicles and equipment. The team performs acquisition maintenance repair replacement and disposal of approximately 3000 fleet assets for the Countys services associated with the Sheriffs Office Public Health Roads Parks Wastewater Water and Land Resources and other agencies. The division manages two maintenance shops which include robust storerooms of automotive parts materials and construction supplies as well as several technicians working in the field to support remote customer sites.


In addition the Fleet Division is responsible for the disposition of the countys personal property assets which includes a surplus warehouse in Georgetown. Disposal methods can include re-use within the county donation to verified and approved non-profits and sales through online portals or sealed/negotiated bids.

WORK LOCATION:This position is based at our Renton Shop- 155 Monroe Ave NE Renton WA 98056 but will primarily work out of a Field Mobile Lube Truck at various locations around King County.

WORK SCHEDULE:The work schedule for this position is generally 40 hours per week Monday Friday. This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standard Act and is overtime eligible. Alternative schedules may be required along with mandatory overtime. This position is Mission Critical.
