Description3029865: Nursing Operations Coordinator -Nursing Administration - Mount Sinai Hospital - Full Time Day
Responsible for providing administrative operational and financial support under the direction of the Inpatient Operations team within an inpatient service at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Coordinator collaborates closely with physician and nursing leadership within service to assist with daily operations and service-specific needs.
Responsibilities- Assists Inpatient Operations Service Leader with operational activities including activities related to daily operations and environment of care.
- Submits requests to appropriate ancillary departments to facilitate resolution of environmental concerns in patient care areas.
- Supports Inpatient Operations Service Leader with preparations for facility projects and renovation projects to minimize the impact on hospital operations and patient experience.
- Assists with ongoing initiatives on various topics including: operational improvement regulatory compliance patient experience technology and digital engagement communication and supply chain.
- Supports purchasing process for capital and non-capital items including submission of financial transactions vendor management and payment confirmation.
- Ensures appropriate documentation of administrative operational and financial functions within Inpatient Operations Team.
- Maintains position control documents for each assigned unit.
- Collaboratively ensures the following HR transactions are submitted in a timely and appropriate manner:
- Transactions for new positions replacement positions terminations position transfers status changes clinical ladder advancements (MSH only) and other related transactions.
- Transactions for leave of absences including collaboration with site assigned Leave Coordinators as needed.
- Initiates monitors and troubleshoots HR transactions in appropriate systems.
- Initiates payroll inquiry requests researches payment discrepancies and conveys updates to Payroll supervisor.
- Monitors hours of part-time union staff to avoid the conversion to a full time work status.
Qualifications- HS diploma/GED
- Prior experience in working in an office environment collaborating with many different people/projects.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.01 - $34.52 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
