Job Description
A leading dairy industry is looking for the Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales building relationships with retailers/distributors and achieving revenue targets for dairy products in an assigned territory. The role demands strong knowledge of dairy product distribution retail marketing and customer engagement
Roles and responsibilities:
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for dairy products (milk curd ghee butter paneer etc.)
Develop and maintain relationships with distributors retailers and institutional clients
Execute route planning and market mapping for efficient coverage
Ensure timely order booking delivery coordination and stock management
Monitor competitor activities and provide market feedback to management
Implement promotional activities and trade schemes to boost sales
Regularly visit retail outlets for merchandising and visibility improvement
Collect payments as per credit policy and maintain account hygiene
Prepare daily sales reports (DSR) and submit them to the sales manager
Coordinate with supply chain/logistics to ensure smooth order fulfill men
Requirements
In-depth knowledge of dairy products and cold chain distribution
Territory/route management
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Good communication in local language and English
Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned region
