Were partnering with a leading oil & gas company seeking a Marine Superintendent to oversee all hired vessel operations supporting offshore field operations and future field developments. What Youll Do
Vessel Management & Safety Assurance
- Ensure all hired vessels are thoroughly inspected and certified as fully fit for intended offshore operations
- Guarantee strict compliance with local and international maritime standards and regulations
- Conduct and lead comprehensive accident/incident investigations involving field-operating vessels
- Provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations to prevent future incidents and enhance safety protocols
Operations Oversight & Technical Support
- Ensure safe and efficient operations of all hired vessels across field operations
- Provide specialized support and expert advice for support vessels handling offtake and field operations
- Collaborate with field operations teams to prepare update and distribute comprehensive Marine Planners for vessel operations
- Provide professional guidance in all offshore marine and vessel operations matters
Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Interface directly with government agencies particularly Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency (NIMASA) for vessel operations compliance
- Ensure all operating vessels maintain regular maintenance schedules and remain fully operational through owner accountability
- Verify all vessel documentations remain current and compliant with relevant maritime authorities
- Liaise with FSA teams to ensure bunkering activities follow established company procedures
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Record and report vessel defects and performance issues across field operations
- Produce comprehensive daily weekly and monthly marine operations reports
- Monitor vessel performance metrics and implement improvement strategies
- Maintain detailed documentation systems for regulatory and operational requirements

Requirements
Who You Are
- Master or Chief Engineer License with recognized maritime authority certification
- Certification as Vessel Inspector/Marine Surveyor by a recognized institution or maritime authority
- Minimum 12 years experience as deck or engine officer in offshore vessel operations specifically in oil field activities
- Extensive experience in offshore vessel inspections and comprehensive marine surveys

- Proven expertise in inspection and survey report writing with attention to regulatory requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of offshore vessel operations and maintenance protocols
