Why this role matters:
The Centre Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within the Australian Research Centre for Cancer Survivorship (ARCCS) Faculty of Medicine and Health providing strategic operational leadership and overseeing the daytoday management of the Centre. This position is responsible for leading the Centres operations team ensuring the efficient delivery of services that support academic staff researchers and students and enabling the Centre to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.
Reporting to the Centre Director the Centre Manager provides highlevel strategic and operational advice contributes expert input into the development and implementation of the Centres strategy policies and planning and ensures alignment with Faculty and University priorities. The role has direct responsibility for managing staff budgets facilities and resources as well as ensuring effective governance financial accountability and operational efficiency.
Key to the success of this role is the ability to foster strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders across the University research partners and funding bodies. The Centre Manager will also lead the development of stakeholder engagement and communication strategies ensuring effective collaboration and promoting the Centres profile and achievements.
This role requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic planning with handson operational management drive continuous improvement and cultivate a positive inclusive and collaborative workplace culture that supports ARCCSs mission and longterm success.
