Job Overview
We urgently need a Network Implementation/Migration Engineer in Australia. This full-time mid-level position requires a candidate with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in the IT industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our network migration projects and ensuring seamless network operations. This role demands proficiency in various network technologies and compliance standards. This role involves travel to Japan and China 2-3 times each quarter.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in LAN/WAN architecture design and implementation to ensure efficient network operations and performance.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining network equipment including routers and switches to support large-scale IT environments.
- In-depth knowledge of cabling standards such as Cat6 and Fiber to manage infrastructure connectivity and reliability.
- Experience with data center infrastructure management to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Strong skills in conducting installation quality assessments to maintain high standards for network setups.
- Thorough understanding of safety and compliance standards to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in all network activities.
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve network issues minimizing downtime.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and support network migration projects to enhance and update existing IT infrastructure.
- Implement and update LAN/WAN architecture to support business and operational needs.
- Install and configure network equipment including routers and switches to improve network efficiency.
- Maintain data center infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimize disruptions.
- Conduct assessments of network installations to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Apply safety and compliance standards rigorously in all networking operations and installations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT project implementations and deployments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and staff members.
