The hiring amount for this position is between$23.42 - $28.78 an hour ($48713.60 - $59862.40Annually) This is a full-time non-exempt position which provides excellent benefits including 13 paid holidays paid vacation and sick leave health insurance options with employer contribution employer-paid life insurance Citys retirement options gym membership reimbursement and continuing education/training opportunities.
As of March 28 2024 this position is part of the Labor and Trades bargaining unit as defined by the Citys Collective Bargaining Ordinance (Ordinance No. 22-128). In accordance with the Labor and Trades Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) effective July 1 2025 future wage adjustments are subject to terms and conditions of the CBA between the City and the exclusive bargaining representative. Starting pay for this position is based on applicable education experience and internal equity:Minimum Qualifications:
Positions in the Department of Utilities are subject to mandatory emergency and stand by call and with minimum response time requirements. Position is subject to federal DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations.
Physical requirements for this position as outlined by the Department of Labor: Heavy work. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. frequently and/or up to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects.
