Senior Drywall Estimator
Location: Onsite Dallas TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Commercial Interiors
Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level (5 Years Preferred)
About the Opportunity
Were looking for a high-level Senior Drywall Estimator ready to step into a leadership-track role at a fast-moving commercial interiors firm. This position is built for someone with a strong estimating background who also enjoys the relationship-building side of preconstruction.
Primary Role
This role is 100% focused on accurate timely and competitive estimating.
Project management is not part of the position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of bids for commercial drywall projects
Own client-facing interactions (lunches meetings ongoing relationship management)
Support and gradually take over business development duties from senior leadership
Review refine and eventually lead internal estimating processes
Collaborate closely with operations to ensure alignment between estimate and execution
Maintain historical cost data and documentation to improve accuracy over time
Ideal Profile
Plug-and-play: Youre proficient in OST and Quick Bid and can hit the ground running
Technically strong: You know how to break down plans and price work with confidence
Proactive and self-directed: You take initiative and dont wait to be told what to do
People-oriented: Comfortable managing client relationships as well as internal team interactions
Leadership-minded: Youre not just looking for a jobyoure preparing to run the department
Experience & Requirements
5 years of experience estimating commercial drywall projects
Strong working knowledge of DFW construction pricing and GC bid processes
High level of accuracy and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience in client-facing or business development roles a plus
