SUMMARY
Monitors and tracks Individual Education Plan (IEP) paperwork for placement options of Special Education students throughout the district. Track trends of incomplete documents by quarterly file reviews and coordinating and participating in team reviews.
Report Monitoring High impact reports (U-SE-07 and U-SE15)
Works closely with student case managers school psychologists and related service providers.
Ensures and monitors all IDEA legal documents are submitted and comply with state and federal requirements. Maintains databases that help determine authorization for exceptional education funding. Ensure compliance with Medicaid IEPs Assists with sustainability of district compliance practices.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Social Services Education or a related field
AND
Four (4) years of general office procedure experience
OR
Ten (10) years of experience in a general office setting
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Strong computer skills required to include Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word Excel etc.) or similar database management word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective problem-solving skills and working in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Basic math skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Social Services Education or related field
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience working in or knowledge of Special Education and/or Special Ed laws rules or compliances.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.

Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
