Job Title: Diesel Equipment Field Technician
Location: Adairsville GA
Position Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $17.00-25.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Description: Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire a Field Service Technician for a manufacturing facility located in Adairsville! Travel is frequently expected for this position at least 80% of the time will be spent traveling.
Qualifications for Field Service Technicians:
After meeting all of PPS standard qualifications Candidate must meet below qualifications:
Knowledge or background with diesel engines electrical wiring and generators air compressors or similar education is preferred.
Basic reading and math skills are required.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Must have standard computer skills for administrative work and case tracking.
Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.
Assignment Duties for Field Service Technicians:
Field Service for diesel generators and possibly portable air compressors.
Correspond to external and internal customers inquiries by receiving inbound calls and emails while providing technical support consisting of technical troubleshooting tracking calls helping with the development of new processes and procedures to assist customers as needed.
Repair and maintenance help along with warranty assistance to customers.
Assist the parts department with part identification and preparation of parts that need service setup prior to shipment from warehouse and customer use.
Research technical issues with the help of internal and external resources.
Warehouse and inventory control.
Assist the manager in working closely with purchasing and design on new component implementation and others.
Negotiate with customers and outside vendors as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Shift Details: The standard workweek is from Monday 12:01AM Sunday 12:00AM (midnight) and generally consists of 40 work hours. Office hours are 7:30AM-4:30PM. Individual work schedules may vary depending on the needs of each department.
Pay Rate: $17.00-25.00/hour depending on experience
