Job Summary:The Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing the food service operations at Edgewood College. This includes managing the board plan ensuring high-quality food service and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Food Service Director will work closely with the college administration to ensure that the food service program meets the needs of the students faculty and staff. Responsibilities:- Manage the board plan including menu planning food ordering and budgeting
- Ensure high-quality food service including food preparation presentation and service
- Maintain a clean and safe environment including overseeing cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Manage food service staff including hiring training and scheduling
- Work closely with the college administration to ensure that the food service program meets the needs of the students faculty and staff
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective food service operations
- Monitor and analyze food service data to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in food service management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service management or relative experience preferably in a college or university setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food service regulations and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
