Job Description

** COMMUNICATION REGARDING TEST INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL **

PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Positions in this class are responsible for directing work flow at the circulation desk of a larger branch or regional library. Work includes assisting patrons training new employees balancing monies associated with the circulation function and may involve lifting books and pushing carts loaded with books. Incumbents in this position work independently within established guidelines on routine and complex tasks. Hours may include night and weekend shifts depending on area of assignment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduation or equivalent plus additional training in library science and progressively responsible experience working in a library or bookstore setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience desired.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION

Examination will be a multiple-choice test.
