Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Principal Scientist Ligand Binding Assays to join IQVIA Laboratories in Indianapolis IN.

As an Associate Principal Scientist you will provide technical leadership across global laboratory operations driving innovation harmonization and continuous improvement in ligand binding assay development and execution.

What youll be doing:

  • Leading cross-functional laboratory initiatives to improve operational efficiency and harmonize global processes.
  • Providing technical expertise and troubleshooting support for complex ligand binding assay challenges.
  • Overseeing method transfers between global and cross-functional laboratories.
  • Serving as the primary technical contact in client discussions and project planning.
  • Driving instrumentation evaluation and implementation including cost and performance analysis.
  • Leading CAPA investigations and ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Supporting training and development initiatives for laboratory staff.
  • Contributing to SOP development regulatory compliance and technical report writing.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ligand binding assay techniques and instrumentation.
  • Other equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge skills and abilities needed for this role:

  • Expertise in ligand binding assay techniques.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in scientific documentation SOP development and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with LEAN Six Sigma principles and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.
