Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year of satisfactory employment in maintenance.
- Understanding of building environmental systems and operations preferred.
- Ability to access all areas of the property including stairwells.
- Ability to do heavy lifting and the operation of equipment that may be physically Able to lift and transfer up to 75 lbs. without stress or injury.
- Sensitivity to issues of aging and ability to work well with a senior population.
- Ability to follow written and spoken instructions in English.
- Ability to work as a team player promoting good relations with co-workers and residents/participants.
- Ability to organize assignments to ensure completion in a timely manner.
- Ability to be flexible with work assignments other departments and schedule changes.
- Awareness of safety and security issues.
- Positive attitude strong work ethic and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General maintenance of the building and grounds including indoor & outdoor painting. Including but not limited to trash pickup/removal and snow removal.
- Maintenance and safe operation of any indoor equipment outdoor equipment snow blowers etc. Able to recognize and report problems with equipment operation
- Maintain a high standard of safety appearance and cleanliness at all times.
- Communicate well with other staff to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Monitor supply inventories and report needs to manager.
- Perform light maintenance duties including light bulb and ballast replacement basic plumbing and electrical repairs as directed by the Maintenance Director.
- Complete minor repairs of unit turnovers.
- Perform other duties/ work orders and functions as assigned in a timely manner.
