Summary:
AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician C in our Edmonton position is an entry level role where one can gain career experience in a laboratory with direction from the Laboratory Coordinator and other Laboratory team members for organics sample preparation and extraction. The successful candidate will assist with administrative and basic laboratory activities.
Duties:
- Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples reagents and calibration solutions
- Provide general lab support including washing glassware cleaning work stations and waste disposal
- Operate instruments with guidance from senior staff perform maintenance calibration and troubleshooting
- Perform basic analysis
- Report results
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous work lab experience is an asset competency with analytical balance dispensers and pipettes is preferred
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills especially with MS Excel and LIMS
- Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
