Job Description
Malco Tools is seeking a motivated and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our dynamic Supply Chain team. As a key player in supporting our New Product Design initiatives you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by strategically planning sourcing and purchasing materials.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with the New Product Design team to plan source and purchase materials for ongoing projects.
- Actively manage multiple projects identifying sourcing opportunities and analyzing market trends.
- Develop and execute commodity strategies including sourcing spend management and supplier management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement and inventory management standards.
- Regularly interact with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Direct the work of various teams providing guidance to ensure effective procurement and inventory management.
- Make recommendations to improve productivity quality and efficiency of vendor operations.
- Lead and direct cross-functional sourcing projects including new vendor identification initial assessment and qualification
- Provide global/regional strategies to achieve corporate and plant location objectives.
- Manage supplier risk and mitigation across all assigned categories.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in blueprint reading customs regulations intercultural communication manufacturing processes software applications supplier relations and negotiation.
- Proficiency in analytical tools including manufacturing planning software financial analysis tools and market research methods.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to make informed purchasing decisions and manage supplier relationships autonomously.
- Strong background in procurement and supply chain management with demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities meet deadlines and operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Demonstrated success building sourcing playbooks or vendor management programs from the ground up.
- Ability and willingness to travel both internationally and domestically 25% of the time.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in business supply chain management or equivalent.
- 6-8 years of purchasing/sourcing/production planning experience in manufacturing.
- CPIM/APICS certification preferred.
Hybrid Work Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office presence in accordance with company policy and agreement. The specific details and guidelines regarding the hybrid schedule will be communicated by Malcos People Operations department.

Compensation Range $110000-$125000
