Firewood Processor Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sawmills and firewood processors including chainsaws splitters and conveyors.
- Sort cut and split logs into market-ready firewood according to size specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work area.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory and material movement as needed.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating firewood processors sawmills or similar machinery preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in an industrial or forestry environment.
- Reliable self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor environment; exposure to weather dust and noise.
- Physically demanding fast-paced work.
- Use of PPE required (safety glasses gloves steel-toe boots hearing protection).
