TheWatch Refinishersupports the watchmakers with day-to-day needs to ensure jobs are processed timely with high attention to detail. This role performs tasks to support the watch shop and Reis-Nichols leadership by following inventory processes and operational procedures. KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Watch Refinisherwill perform the following essential functions: - Polish and refinish watch cases bracelets and clasps to restore to original finish for watches (ranging from $20 to $50000 and higher in value)
- Use specialized tools and techniques to remove imperfections whilst maintaining the quality and integrity of the piece.
- Work with watchmakers and merchandise coordinators to ensure proper handling of watches both before and after polishing.
- Quality control of timepieces and jobs; maintaining high customer service standards.
- Replace watch batteries.
- Disassemble and reassemble watch cases using top-of-the-line equipment.
- Size watch straps and bracelets
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace ensuring all equipment and materials are properly cared for and stored.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

- Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude
- Ability to work well with both employees and outside contacts
- Ability to sit and focus for long periods of time
- Previous experience in watch polishing or related field such as jewelry or metal refinishing. Training or certification in watchmaking or metal refinishing is a huge plus!
- Knowledge of different refinishing and polishing techniques and finishes with experience working on luxury timepieces.
- Familiarity with polishing tools such as lathes buffing wheels and abrasive compounds.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- The ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays both independently and part of a team environment.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. - Requires excellent vision and dexterity to handle small objects
- Requires the ability to concentrate on small objects for long periods of time
- Requires extended hours of sitting standing and use of tools
- Ability to lift items such as cleaning solutions and materials as needed up to 40lbs.
