General Purpose of Position
Provide customer service by collecting admission and concession fees at various city facilities. Works under the direct supervision of the Pool Rink Concession Manager and the general supervision of the full-time Recreation Staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greets monitors directs and collects admission and concession fees from all incoming patrons at the appropriate facility
Concession cashiers must have all the appropriate vaccinations to serve and prepare food as required by law
Exhibits a professional image behavior appearance and demeanor at all times
Receives answers and or routs incoming phone calls to the facility
Prepares daily cashier sheet counts cash from register balances cash register drawer
Responds to public inquiries and provides general information to the public
Cleans various parts of the facility as assigned
Works to assure that every patron has a positive experience. Responds to internal and external requests without delay
Maintains strict confidence in all maters is honest works well with fellow staff members treats all individuals with dignity and respect
Appears at work on time and as scheduled. Is responsible and reliable in attendance
Performs other duties as requested
Peripheral Duties
Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including clerical custodial and departmental errands.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge and ability to use basic computer software ability to operate a cash register
Ability to demonstrate professional public relations skills and have effective interpersonal and communication skills
Tools and Equipment Used
Personal computer in a network system cash register calculator copy and fax machines telephone charge card machine and a mobile or portable radio.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include closed vision color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum age of 16
A high school diploma or in the process of obtaining a high school diploma
Valid State Drivers license or ability to obtain one
