DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Administrative Specialist II (Document Examiner) supports the Business Registration Division within the Secretary of States Office. The primary job functions include reviewing legal documents that have been submitted by corporations limited partnerships limited liability companies and limited liability partnerships to make certain they are in compliance with the North Carolina General Statutes; making determinations whether these submissions should be accepted for filing; providing technical assistance and statutory guidance to the legal community the banking community and the general public by telephone in writing by email and in person; performing data entry access and retrieval of corporate records by personal computer. The employee in this position must have an eye for detail and accuracy in their work.
Management Preferences:

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
