Job Description
Summary
As a Billing Coordinator II with Johns Hopkins Home Care Group you will be responsible for managing the complete billing cycle from claim preparation through electronic submission for our home health services. Youll work at an advanced level to process primary secondary and tertiary insurance claims while resolving complex billing edits electronic rejections and compliance issues that prevent timely claim processing. Working independently youll ensure accurate coding proper authorization verification and adherence to payer-specific requirements to maximize reimbursement. As a senior team member youll also mentor other billing staff and serve as a go-to resource for complex billing challenges.

Were seeking an experienced medical billing professional with expertise in claim processing workflows and electronic billing systems. The ideal candidate excels at troubleshooting technical billing issues and understands the critical importance of timely claim submission in healthcare revenue cycle management.
Education Knowledge & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- 2 years medical billing experience with electronic claims processing and rejection resolution
- Advanced knowledge of medical coding billing edits and payer-specific billing requirements
- Strong understanding of authorization processes and insurance verification procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex billing system issues
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic claims transmission systems
- Strong attention to detail with ability to train and mentor team members

Salary Range: Minimum$15.86/hour - Maximum$26.23/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
