About the Team:

Our Business Development team play a critical role in expanding Gartners presence across the global market. Gartner Business Development Executives strategically acquire new clients by cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their mission critical priorities and uncover opportunities to deliver client-value through the lens of the industry in which they operate. Gartner Business Developers drive the full sales cycle from identifying prospects to closure and transition of new accounts to the account management team.

Our EMEA Business Development team is one with a track record of continuous learning and overachievement having been recognized year on year for their 2024 alone the team won Global No.1 Sales Manager Global No.1 Area VP Global No.1 Regional VP & Global No.1 Group VP with over 40% of the team achieving over 130% of Quota and attending our annual sales recognition trip Winners Circle.

Step into a high-impact BD role at Gartner driving growth across Czechias central government sector. With IT spending forecasted to hit $1.2 billion in 2025a 9% increase from 2024 government CIOs are doubling down on cybersecurity digital citizen engagement and cloud transformation.

As part of our sales team youll partner with public sector leaders to help them navigate these critical priorities leveraging Gartners unrivalled research and advisory services.

If youre a driven hunter ready to win new logos build pipeline and shape the future of government IT in Czechia this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you will do:

  • Seek out and drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across your territory from initial client outreach to close targeting Large Enterprise C-Level stakeholders in Public sector.

  • Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients owning the full sales conversation and negotiation through to the transition of new clients to the account management team.

  • Align the right combination of insight guidance and practical tools to bring value to the partnership

  • Continually build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to deliver against your sales metrics ensuring KPIs are met.

  • Quota responsibility for your assigned territory.

  • Manage complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.

  • Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

What you will need:

  • 5 years B2B sales experience preferably within complex intangible sales environments.

  • Professional Proficiency: Czech Language

  • Knowledge of Czech Public / Government Sector

  • Business development or new client-acquisition experience in a selling role

  • Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.

  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Proven ability to precisely manage and forecast a complex sale process.

  • Willingness to conduct travel as needed.

  • Bachelors degree desired
