Job Title:Gastroenterology Physician CU GI Community Practice Group (Longmont)

Job Summary:

As an important member of the GI community practice team the Gastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations endoscopic procedures and nights/weekends call coverage.

The gastroenterologist will primarily see outpatients at the UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital and Longmont GI clinic 5 days per week (3 half-days outpatient clinic 5 half-days outpatient endoscopy). Additionally they will provide inpatient GI consultative services and nights/weekends call coverage at Longs Peak Hospital up to 8 weeks per year in rotation with other members of the Longmont CU GI community practice group.

The successful applicant for this position will be someone who communicates appropriately and effectively with patients staff consultants and colleagues has outstanding customer service skills and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist including:

GERD

Dysphagia

IBS/functional GI disorders

Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Abnormal liver function tests

Pancreatitis

Occult iron deficiency anemia

GI motility disorders

Interpretation of GI diagnostics including:

Routine endoscopic procedures within the scope of a general gastroenterologist (polypectomy treatment of upper/lower GI bleeding endoscopic dilation)

Capsule endoscopy interpretation

Wireless pH capsule placement (Bravo)

Hydrogen Breath Testing

Additional experience and skills

Diagnostic ERCP and EUS

Therapeutic ERCP and EUS

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Base Salary:

Instructor:$00

Assistant Professor: $300000-$350000

Associate Professor: $350000-$375000

Professor: $375000-$425000

Total Compensation (base variable): $500000 to $600000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
