We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our team.Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Create detailed designs for connectorized cable
assemblies and thermocouple assemblies ensuring they meet the specific
requirements of the EGT systems in gas turbine engines.
Technical Specifications: Develop and maintain technical specifications
drawings and documentation for all designs.
Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping and testing of assemblies
to validate performance and reliability. Conduct failure analysis and
implement design improvement as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including project
managers manufacturing engineers/technicians and quality assurance to
ensure design are feasible and meet project timelines.
Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards regulatory
requirements and customer specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends
materials and technologies. Implement continuous improvement initiatives
to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
Customer support: Provide technical support to customers and address any
design-related issues or inquiries.
Qualification:
Education: Minimum Bachelors degree in - Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering or related field with proficiency and knowledge of
Radio Frequency electrical characteristics.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing cable
assemblies and thermocouple assemblies preferably in the aerospace or
defense industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks)
and familiarity with industry standards (e.g. UL MIL-STD ASME).
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the
ability to troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the
ability to collaborate effectively.
Job requirements: Must be able to comply with all company policies and
regulations.
This is an on site position in Saddle Brook New Jersey
