Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Police Sergeant. The Police Sergant is in the Public Safety department . This is a full-time position.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Chief of Police
Three years of law enforcement experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 60 semester hours which substitutes for two years of experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a current Louisiana drivers license.
Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required.
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.

Job Duties:
Police Sergeant at Baton Rouge Community College is to oversee and coordinate campus law enforcement activities ensuring the safety and security of students faculty staff and visitors. This position provides direct supervision to lower-ranking officers conducts investigations and enforces all applicable laws and campus policies.
